Body care has played a central role in the history of Milan, the city that made it possible for
me to be what I am today. Over the centuries, it has reflected Milan’s shifting cultural, social,
and economic identity. The Romans were the first to bring the art of hygiene and well-being
to ancient Mediolanum, along with the ars ornatrix: the cosmetic arts, therapeutic rituals for
the care of the skin and the spirit.
This is “Via Bellezza”, my first coffee-table book: a journey through time in pursuit of
beauty – an exploration designed to inspire, to spark reflection, and to offer advice and
insights on self-care across the ages
